Por una noche (For one night)
According to a legend told by the Aymara people, once upon a time there was no night for men. Two children, Amaru and Kusi, will borrow the night from the cuí (a rodent), the puma and the armadillo until they find the amount of rest that is right for their people.
For one night is based on the legends of the Aymará people about their origins, their relationship with animals, and balance in nature. They have been reinterpreted freely and respectfully by writer Mario Lillo and illustrator Roberto Cubillas.
Mario Lillo is a teacher, teacher trainer and specialist in children and young readers’ literature. He has coordinated several programs to encourage reading, with many books published in this field.
