Young Moroiá liked to boast about hunting: monkeys, toucans, parakeets, they would all fall under his arrows. And, in spite of his father’s warnings, he did not respect the jungle. But Caipora was watching him. And he will teach him a lesson.
Cabeza hueca, cabeza seca (Empty Head, Dry Head) is based on the legends told by the Tupi-Guarani people about Caipora, the protector of Amazonia. Their stories have been freely and respectfully reinterpreted by Franco Vaccarini (text) and Pablo Picyk (illustrations).
Vaccarini Franco was born in 1963 in the city of Lincoln. He lives in Buenos Aires since 1983. He studied journalism and worked as a journalist until 2005. Write poetry, short story and novel. In recent years he has specialized in child and youth fiction.
